Comic Story
Panel 1
They said I was born with restless feet, always pointed at the sky. Fixen says it’s a gift, but sometimes it just feels like I don't belong on the ground.
Panel 2
Your center of gravity is what matters, Bunbun, not the height. One day, you'll learn to control it, and then you'll truly fly.
Panel 3
A new sound echoed in our woods today, one of cold metal and arrogant purpose. It was a sound that didn't belong, a discordant note in the forest's gentle song.
Panel 4
He spoke of collecting 'rare specimens,' his voice like grinding stones. A blue bunny of impossible agility and a cat of 'unusual intellect' were his targets.
Panel 5
We have to run, Fixen, we have to hide! There's no way we can face him.
Panel 6
Running is what he expects, Bunbun. But he's one man, and we are the forest; we know its secrets.
Panel 7
He thinks your jump is a weakness, something that makes you a visible target. I think it's a weapon he can't possibly predict.
Panel 8
But what if I can't jump high enough, or I land in the wrong place? What if I fail?
Panel 9
Then I will be there with you. You jump, and I will think; that is our pact.
Panel 10
There he is! The blue prize comes to me.
Panel 11
Now, Fixen! The signal was a single bird call, a sound the hunter would never understand.
Panel 12
Pathetic creatures! Your forest tricks are nothing!
Panel 13
It wasn't a gift for reaching the sky. It was a gift for protecting the ground.
Panel 14
I am not restless. I am the storm.
Panel 15
When he landed, the very earth seemed to shout with him. The shockwave was more than the hunter could withstand.
Panel 16
We were just a bunny and a cat. But together, we were the guardians of our home.
