Comic Story
Panel 1
1866. Grief clung to Jacob Holloway like the moorland fog. Elena, his light, was gone, leaving only shadows in her wake.
Panel 2
Lantern in hand, he entered the cursed chapel, its stones cold and silent. He cried out, not to God, but to the abyss beyond, offering anything for her return.
Panel 3
A voice, smooth as velvet, echoed from the darkness. "She shall rise, Holloway, but you shall fall. The price is steeper than you imagine."
Panel 4
Elena returned, beautiful yet changed. Her eyes, once pools of warmth, were now cold, dark mirrors reflecting an eternal night.
Panel 5
The village whispered. Crosses broke. Milk curdled. Dogs howled at the hour of three, as Elena wept blood and spoke of fire.
Panel 6
One night, she vanished. Jacob searched frantically, his hope turning to dread. The Devil's words echoed in his mind: 'You shall fall.'
Panel 7
They found him wandering the moor, eyes burnt white, muttering of an altar and a devil beneath. Madness had claimed its due.
Panel 8
The chapel reappears only on stormy nights. The bell tolls, signaling a soul claimed. And then comes laughter, cruel and eternal.
Panel 9
Satan, once invited, never truly leaves. The village remains haunted, a testament to Jacob's desperate act and the price of playing God.
